Star Wars Blasts into Condorstown Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors will host the Long Beach Ice Dogs in Game Two of the ECHL Kelly Cup Pacific Division Playoffs on Friday, April 14th in Bakersfield at Rabobank Arena. Doors open at 6:00pm, puck drops at 7:00pm. The Condors lead the series one game to none over the Ice Dogs after beating Long Beach 3-1 on Tuesday evening. The first round is sponsored by KGET-TV 17 and the new AT&T.

On Friday, the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Condors Blackout Rally Towel. In addition, fans can join Obi-Won Kenobi, R2- D2, Dark Vader, Anakin Skywalker and the rest of the Galactic Empire as characters from Star Wars land in Condorstown. All fans are encouraged to wear black attire to Blackout the Ice Dogs. Friday's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks Channel 21 and will also be re- played on Saturday, April 15th at 7:00pm on Ch. 21.

Fans can take part in the Condors Warm-up Jersey Auction to benefit the Active 20/30 Club and Walker Franks, a local 9-year-old boy in need of a bone marrow transplant. Walker, a Bakersfield Christian School student, has been diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia, which prevents the bone marrow from producing enough blood cells and platelets.

Bid on your favorite Condors player's U.S. Army Desert Storm camouflage warm-up jersey via a silent auction concourse behind section 103. Tuesday's silent auction bids will carry over to Friday and the auction will conclude midway through the third period of Friday's game. Winners will be determined at the end of the game, so make sure you come early and check your bids often!

Immediately following Game Two on Friday, a short live auction will take place where fans will have an opportunity to bid on Ryan Munce, Kevin St. Jacques and Sean Venedam U.S. Army warm-up jerseys. During the first intermission of the Condors game on Tuesday, Eric Neilson's warm-up jersey was auctioned off for $1,350 to benefit Active 20/30 and Walker Franks.

After the game on Friday, stop by the Holiday Inn Select Autograph Booth and have your Nightly Notes signed by Reagan Leslie and Joel Irving. The booth is located on the concourse behind section 108.

Playoff ticket packages are now available including the Condors Playoff Family Pack, which includes: 1 game ticket, 1 hot dog, 1 soda and 1 Nightly Note for all first-round playoff games starting for as low as $36 Also, fans may purchase tickets for all prospective playoff games in advance. Game Three, Four and Five (if necessary) of Round One will be held in Long Beach on Saturday, April 15th, Sunday, April 16th and Wednesday, April 19th. Games Six and Seven, if necessary, will be in Bakersfield on Friday, April 21st and Saturday, April 22nd.

In other Pacific Division playoff action, Fresno leads their series over San Diego 1-0 with Game Two tonight in Fresno.
