
Gladiators to face South Carolina in Division Semi-Finals

The Gwinnett Gladiators announce today that they will face the South Carolina Stingrays in their Division Semi-Final Series that begins this weekend at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Game one of the Gladiators Division Semi-Final series against South Carolina begins on Saturday, April 15th at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Gwinnett will also host Game two of the series on Sunday, April 16th at 4:05 p.m. Game three as well as game four (if necessary) of the series will be in South Carolina on Wednesday, April 19th and Thursday, April 20th while Game five (if necessary) will be back at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Sunday, April 23rd at 4:05 p.m.

South Carolina defeated Charlotte 3-1 on Wednesday night to win the best of three Division Quarterfinal series two games to one. The Stingrays jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Charlotte through two periods on goals by Nate Kiser, Evan Schwabe and Matt Reid, who scored on the power play, before Charlotte got on the board in the final minutes of the third on a marker by Jake Ortmeyer.
Finishing with the best record in the American Conference and the South Division, the top ranked Gladiators face the lowest remaining seed in the Division in the fourth ranked South Carolina Stingrays. The third ranked Greenville Grrrowl defeated the sixth ranked Augusta Lynx in their Division Quarterfinal series. Greenville will now face the second ranked Florida Everblades in the other Division Semi-Final series.
