ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Barrett Heisten scored a pair of power play goals and Alex Leavitt notched a playmaker with assists on all three Alaska goals in a 3-1 win over Utah in Game Two of the West Semi-Finals in front of 5,098 at Sullivan Arena.

Leavitt waited until the last possible moment to slither a cross-ice pass to Mike Scott off the rush, who promptly whistled the puck past Grizzlies starter Alfie Michaud to open the scoring at 13:35 of the first period. Utah tied the game less than four minutes into the second period on a goal by Brent Henley, whose shot sailed through a screened Matt Underhill, who later made a brilliant save on Trevor Baker with the Grizzlies shorthanded. Shortly after that stop, Scott found Heisten for a tap-in at 9:03 with a brilliant interior pass to regain the lead for Alaska at 2-1 heading into the final period.

The Aces killed off a Utah power play late in the third period, and after a couple of penalties were whistled against the Grizzlies, wrapped up the game with 53 seconds left when Leavitt hit Heisten in stride for a breakaway that resulted in the latter finding the top right corner against Michaud for his second goal of the night and third of the series. Alaska has won all seven meetings between the two clubs at Sullivan Arena, the site for a Game Six on April 18, if necessary.
