BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Condors return to The Nest from a nine-game road trip this Saturday to face-off against the Stockton Thunder. It will also be a special night in The Nest as the Condors celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the St. Patrick's Day Jersey Raffle and Auction and SpongeBob Squarepants, presented by Bright House Networks, 101.5 KGFM and American Business Machines. Enjoy nautical non-sense with SpongeBob Squarepants as he entertains fans live, PLUS game- worn St. Patrick's Day jerseys will be auctioned off after the game. Everyone in attendance has a chance to win one of five jerseys to be given away! All proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to Kern Adult Literacy Council. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.
Saturday is also Bright House Networks Family Night. Bright House Network subscribers receive $5.00 terrace level admission per person by presenting the coupon available in their cable bill.
After Saturday's game stop by the Holiday Inn Select Autograph Booth located on the concourse behind section 108 and get your Nightly Notes signed by Sean Venedam and Mark Malone.
SpongeBob Squarepants has consistently brought huge crowds to Condorstown. The 2002-03 season was SpongeBob's first time in The Nest, bringing in 7,590 fans. During the 2004-05 season the loveable sponge attracted 8,526 fans, the sixth largest crowd in Condors history, and last year he entertained a crowd of 8,192. You're encouraged to get your tickets early.
Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
On their current road trip, the Condors are 4-0-2 and have clinched a spot in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. They are currently tied for first place in the Pacific Division. Tonight the Condors have a 7:11 p.m. tilt with the Phoenix RoadRunners. It will be the first game of a two-game series.
