Bombers add depth in goal, sign Gratz

Dayton, OH - Dayton Bombers Head Coach and General Manager Don MacAdam announced today that the Bombers have signed goaltender Brian Gratz. Per club policy terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gratz, a 6'0", 210-pound native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, signs with the Bombers after seeing time with three other teams in the ECHL this season (Utah, Wheeling, and Reading). He has appeared in three games and started two (both for the Nailers), posting a record of 0-2-0, 4.26 goals against and .859 save percentage. Since the 2004-05 season, Gratz has spent time in the SPHL (Huntsville), UHL (Ft. Wayne) and ECHL (Johnstown, Wheeling, Utah and Reading). Prior to the beginning of his professional career, Gratz won a National Championship in 2002-03 at the collegiate club hockey level at Penn State. That season he appeared in 25 games, had a goals against of 1.60 and .956 save percentage.

The Bombers return to the Nutter Center tonight to take on the Reading Royals at 7:00 p.m. The game will be another installment of "Two for Tuesday's" sponsored by Prestige Ford. All Silver Level seats are 2 for 1 at the Nutter Center box office and popcorn, pretzels and hot dogs are 2 for 1 at the concession stands. There will also be a special happy hour from 6-7pm courtesy of Ovations Catering.
