South Carolina Stingrays News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and head coach Jason Fitzsimmons announced today that defenseman Donny Grover has been sent down from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League to South Carolina.
Grover, 24, was originally called up to the Hershey Bears on Jan. 31 after playing the first 42 games with the Stingrays. In eight games with Hershey, the 6'1", 210-pound Grover tallied one point on an assist and had a plus/minus rating of plus-3. Prior to his call-up, the Rockland, MA native had 23 points (8g - 15a) in those 42 games. Grover's eight games now makes his eligible to play with the Stingrays for the ECHL playoffs.
