Royals Sign Defenseman Pat Oliveto

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has signed defenseman Pat Oliveto ["OH lih VEHT oh"]. This past season with the Niagara University Purple Eagles, Oliveto (6'1"/190 lbs) (22) scored two goals and assisted on nineteen others, while earning a selection to the All-College Hockey America First Team. Oliveto, who hails from Rochester, New York, led the Niagara's defensemen in scoring in his junior and senior seasons and was a three time selection to the CHA All Academic Team. It is expected that Oliveto will be in the Royals' line-up for tonight's game (7:00 pm) at the EJ Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio against the Dayton Bombers. Royals' game night broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am (and on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com), beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available for $6.00 per game through the B2 Networks, which can be accessed through the Royals' website.
