RoadRunners Make A Trio Of Moves

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, an affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes and the San Antonio Rampage, have announced several transactions in preparation for tonight's game with the Bakersfield Condors at 7:11 p.m. from US Airways Center.

Center Daniel Winnik has been re-assigned by the Phoenix Coyotes from San Antonio of the American Hockey League. Winnik, 22, has eight goals and 18 points in 53 games with the Rampage this season. The Mississauga, Ontario native was assigned to the RoadRunners on Jan. 5 and collected a season-high three assists in his debut on Jan. 9 at Idaho. Winnik notched six assists in four games with Phoenix before being recalled to San Antonio on Jan. 31. He is a former ninth round draft choice of the Coyotes at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

In a separate transaction, defenseman Brian Yandle has been activated off the 30-day injured reserve and is expected to make his return to RoadRunners' line-up tonight. Yandle, 23, has missed the last 39 games after suffering an injury on Dec. 6, 2006 at Idaho. The Milton, Mass. native has three goals and seven assists in 16 games with the RoadRunners this season. Yandle was an NCAA Second-Team All-American in 2005-06 at the University of New Hampshire.

Also, forward James Hiebert has been recalled by the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League. Hiebert, 24, was assigned to the RoadRunners from Manchester on Feb. 5. The Hay River, Northwest Territories native has 14 goals and 27 points in 55 games this season between the RoadRunners and the Reading Royals.

Phoenix continues their four-game homestand at 7:11 p.m. Tuesday as they welcome the Bakersfield Condors for the opening game of a two-game series. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
