Storm Sign A Pair From College

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that they have signed defensemen Denis Kirstein (KEER-stighn) and Dinos Stamoulis (STA-moo-lihs). In a separate move, the Storm released forward Nello Ferrara.

Both players come to the Storm following their senior seasons. Kirstein, the native of Bethel Park, PA, played in 102 career games at Mercyherst. In those contests, Denis scored 3 goals while adding 20 assists. He also added 104 penalty minutes.

Stamoulis comes to Toledo from Providence College, where he played in 142 contests. The Carle Place, NY native collected 7 goals with 20 assists and 102 penalty minutes during his stay with the Friars.

Ferrara appeared in two contests for Toledo over the weekend and did not register a point.

Friday night is St. Patrick's Day with the Storm! Toledo will be wearing special jerseys that night to be auctioned off following the game against Wheeling.
