The Spokane Chiefs are excited to start the year off with two amazing community events in January.
On Tuesday, January 23rd, the Chiefs will take over the Numerica Skate Ribbon for the annual downtown Skate with The Chiefs event from 6-8pm. The public will have the opportunity to skate alongside their favorite players and mascot Boomer, get autographs and take pictures. "Seeing families create memories at Numerica Skate with the Chiefs Night is something we look forward to each hockey season," said Carla Cicero, Numerica president and CEO. "Partnering with the Chiefs to create family fun is just one way we live out our core purpose of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities." Free admission and skate rentals will be provided by Numerica Credit Union to the first 300 people. More info.
On Wednesday, January 24th the Spokane Chiefs players will visit Mobius Discovery Center in downtown Spokane for a unique, members only, after-hours event from 5:30-7pm. Amanda Gilliam, Marketing Manager for Mobius, is excited to welcome Chiefs players back to the Discovery Center for the second consecutive year, "Athletes are larger-than-life figures to children. Mobius provides a safe and fun place for families to play and learn together; the players meeting them there and on their level is a fun experience for our members! Have you played today?"
