Oil Kings Trade F Mason Finley to Tri-City for Draft Pick

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings have acquired a 2026 eighth-round draft pick from the Tri-City Americans in exchange for 2004-born forward Mason Finley, the team announced today.

Finley, 19, was in his second season with the Oil Kings and third in the WHL having appeared in 141 career games registering 39 points (17G, 22A), 30 penalty minutes and a -66 plus/minus rating.

This season, the 6-foot-2, 172-pound winger had three assists, eight penalty minutes and a -14 plus/minus rating in 33 games.

In addition, the Oil Kings have reassigned 2005-born defenceman Reid Larson to a team TBD.

The Oil Kings thank both Mason and Reid for their contributions to the organization both on and off the ice over the past season-and-a-half and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.

The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is Thursday, January 11 when they welcome the Tri-City Americans to Rogers Place at 7:00 P.M.
