STATE COLLEGE, PA - The Doubledays fell to the State College Spikes 5-4 on Friday night after the Spikes made a late rally. The series is now split at 1-1 with after the 'Days took game one Thursday.
Once again, the Doubledays didn't waste anytime taking an early lead. With one out in the first, Max Schrock turned on an inside fastball and launched his first professional homer of the wall in right to give the 'Days a 1-0 lead.
The next inning, Auburn added another run. After Anderson Franco grounded out, Diomedes Eusebio was hit by a pitch. Eusebio then moved to second when Ian Sagdal singled up the middle. After Randy Encarnacion flew out to center, Jorge Tillero knocked in Eusebio with a single up the middle and the Doubledays took a 2-0 lead.

The fourth inning went by quickly and quietly before the Spikes got on the board in the fifth. After back-to-back groundouts, Jhohan Acevedo singles on a groundball to short. The outfielder moved to second on a wild pitch before Mike Pritchard walked to put runners on first and second with two outs. That brought up Leobaldo Pina who brought in both Acevedo and Pritchard with a double to left. Casey Grayson then grounded out to short and after five the Doubledays led 4-2.
The very next inning, the Spikes struck again. Orlando Olivera led off with a triple to left. After Jose Godoy was hit by a pitch, Ronnierd Garcia hit a sacrifice fly to left to score Olivera and put the score at 4-3.
