Spikes' Final Regular-Season Homestand Begins Wednesday

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - The State College Spikes return home on Wednesday, September 2 to begin the final regular-season homestand of the 10th Season. The five-game stretch includes a trio of HD Weekend giveaways, the chance for one fan to win Free Gas for a Year, a pair of fantastic FIREWORKS shows, the return of $1 Beer Thursday, and a Game-Used Jersey Auction during the regular season home finale on Sunday, September 6.

The Spikes will host the Batavia Muckdogs (Miami Marlins) and Williamsport Crosscutters (Philadelphia Phillies) during the homestand. Fans can also join The Hunt Reloaded, presented by the Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau, Lion Country Kia and HRI, Inc., as the Spikes have the New York-Penn League Wild Card berth in their sights.

Should the Spikes reach the postseason, the first game would be at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Wednesday, September 9 at 7:05 p.m. against the team with the best regular-season record in the NYPL.

The homestand begins on Wednesday, when the Spikes and Muckdogs meet at 7:05 p.m. for Half-Price Wednesday, presented by BIG Froggy 101. Fans can get into the park with half-price Outfield Bleacher seats for $3 each, then enjoy half-price 16-oz. select domestic draft beers from 6-8 p.m. and half-price medium sodas all game long.

Thursday will mark the final $1 Beer Night of the regular season, presented by 93.7 THE BUS. Fans aged 21 and over can enjoy 12-oz. select domestic draft beers for just $1 apiece from 6-8 p.m. as the Spikes face Batavia a 7:05 p.m. After the game, the skies will light up with FIREWORKS on THON Night at the ballpark.

Friday night, the first of three HD Weekend giveaways, presented by Aaron's, is on the last as the Spikes finish their series against the Muckdogs with a 7:05 p.m. game. Gates will open to the public at 6:00 p.m, and one lucky fan will walk away with a Samsung 2.2 Sound Tower to give their sound system some high-definition power.

Plus, it's Princess Night and Daddy-Daughter Date Night at the ballpark. Fans can bring their little princesses along for a fantastic night with a Daddy-Daughter Dance after the game.

Saturday, the Spikes take on Williamsport at 7:05 p.m. on a night for winners at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Fans have been entering to win Free Gas for a Year from Lion Country Kia, and the winner will be drawn on Saturday night to receive a $1,000 Sheetz gas card. Plus, every fan is a winner on Scratch n' Win Saturday, presented by P.J. Harrigan's, and another lucky fan will walk away with a Sony PlayStation 4 in the second HD Weekend giveaway.

The regular-season home slate finishes on Sunday night with Fan Appreciation Night, featuring great prize giveaways throughout the 6:05 p.m. game against the Crosscutters. Fans will be amazed by the Regular Season Grand Finale FIREWORKS show after the game, and the Spikes' alternate blue jerseys will be up for bids in a Game-Used Jersey Auction, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer of Penn State.

Sunday night will also feature the final HD Weekend giveaway, as one lucky fan will win a 65-inch High Definition television to create the perfect centerpiece for an HD entertainment system.

Single-game tickets for each of the final five regular-season home dates remaining from September 2-6 are currently on sale through the Spikes Box Office and online at State College Spikes.com. Fans can visit the Box Office in person weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or call (814) 272-1711. Fans purchasing online have the ability to print their tickets using a home computer and printer.

Fans can also purchase Two-Game Playoff Packs in anticipation of potential Spikes home games during the New York-Penn League playoffs, which begin on Wednesday, September 9. Playoff Packs start as low as $8 per seat and include as much as a $4 per game savings off the single-game price.
