
Spikes Continue Opening Week with Trio of Daily Value Promos

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - The State College Spikes are home for three more nights at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park during Opening Week, starting tonight and running through Wednesday. The Spikes will welcome the Auburn Doubledays (Washington Nationals) for three 7:05 p.m. matchups featuring money-saving staples of the Daily Fan Value Promotions schedule.
The fun begins tonight with Buck Night, presented by 95.3 FM 3WZ. Fans can purchase $1 Outfield Bleacher seats, then enjoy $1 hot dogs, $1 16-oz. sodas and $1 boats of peanuts throughout the night.
The homestand continues on Tuesday, when the first 500 fans at the Spikes' 7:05 p.m. game against Auburn will receive a New York-Penn League Championship T-Shirt, presented by ServiceMaster by Holobinko & Merry Maids, as part of the T-Shirt Tuesday series presented by The B94.5. Gates will open to the public at 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday night is also Fútbol Night in America, as the Spikes celebrate the game of soccer with the U.S. women's team trying to bring home the cup in Canada. Plus, kids who achieved their reading goals will be honored as part of National Penn Bank Books & Baseball Night.
Opening Week then wraps up with a Half-Price Wednesday, presented by BIG Froggy 101. Outfield Bleacher seats will be available for just $3 apiece, and fans can purchase half-price 16-oz. select domestic draft beers from 6-8 p.m. 16-oz. sodas will also be available at half-price all evening long.
Spikes fans can enjoy even more fun at the park as well as Lion Country Kia returns to the ballpark concourse this year to give fans to play the chance to play Plinko for great prizes at every Spikes home game. Plus, fans can enter at the Lion Country Kia Plinko table and StateCollegeSpikes.com for the chance to win Free Gas for a Year at the Spikes' September 5 home game.
Single-game tickets for all three games, as well as every regular season home date through September 6, are currently on sale through the Spikes Box Office and online at State College Spikes.com. Fans can visit the Box Office in person weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or call (814) 272-1711. Fans purchasing online have the ability to print their tickets using a home computer and printer.
Groups of 20 or more can also purchase discounted tickets for any of the Spikes' 38 home dates. Additional benefits of booking a group for a Spikes home game include preferred seating and an exclusive early entrance.
