Spikes Announce Upcoming Promotions

STATE COLLEGE, PA - The State College Spikes return home for a six-game homestand starting on Tuesday, July 30, and fans will enjoy a jam-packed slate of activities that includes the Matt Adams Bobble Head Giveaway on Wednesday, July 31 and one of the most special nights of the year on Saturday, August 3 with Paint the Park Pink Night, presented by Mount Nittany Health, 95.3 FM 3WZ and the Centre Daily Times.

The Spikes will face the Tri-City ValleyCats (Houston Astros) for a three-game series from Tuesday, July 30 to Thursday, August 1, with the Vermont Lake Monsters (Oakland Athletics) providing the weekend opposition from August 2-4.

The Adams bobble head giveaway, presented by Beer Belly's and East Coast Health & Fitness, will go to the first 1,000 fans of all ages at Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. game against Tri-City. The Local Legends Bobble Head Series is one of three consecutive giveaway nights, starting with a T-Shirt Tuesday giveaway to the first 500 fans at Tuesday night's 7:05 p.m. game against the ValleyCats, presented by BioLife Plasma Services. Thursday night, the first 1,000 kids age 12 and under will receive Spikes Stirrup Socks, presented by First National Bank, as part of the Mini-Majors Head-to-Toe Giveaway Series.

Saturday night, the Spikes will make history during their 7:05 p.m. game, as they become the first team to wear pink jerseys bearing the names of those who have fought breast cancer for Paint the Park Night. The jerseys will then be auctioned off during the game to benefit the Breast Care Center at Mount Nittany Medical Center, with the winners receiving them on the field shortly after the final out of the night is made. In addition, the first 1,000 women at Saturday's game will receive a Pink Rally Towel.

Friday, the Spikes kick off the weekend with a post-game FIREWORKS show, presented by Fullington Bus Company and ESPN Radio 1450, after a 7:05 p.m. matchup against Vermont. Fans can also enjoy a spectacular FIREWORKS display, presented by Rex Energy and WHVL-TV, to cap off the homestand after Sunday's 6:05 p.m. game against the Lake Monsters.
