Staten Island, NY - Aberdeen IronBirds' Shortstop Jared Breen set the franchise mark for the longest hitting streak at 18 games. He collected two hits yesterday in the completion of the June 25th game against the Staten Island Yankees. The two hits helped Aberdeen to come back and earn an 11-8 win in ten innings, moving them back to .500 at 19-19.
Breen singled in the eighth inning and scored a run. He also singled and scored in the tenth inning.
Entering play on July 29th, Breen was batting .209 with 27 hits in 33 games. He also has six RBIs and nine stolen bases on the season.
