Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release


The Colorado Springs Sky Sox lost to the Iowa Cubs 3-1 Wednesday night to return home with 1 win on the 6 game road trip. Sox starter Cory Vance was tagged for 3 runs in the second, which is all Iowa needed for the victory. The Sox managed 1 extra base hit on the night, a Rene Reyes double in the 5th inning. The Sox return home Thursday night for a 4 game series with the Salt Lake Stingers before heading into the all-star break. In game 1 Randy Flores (7-5, 4.03) will take the mound for the Sox against Chris Bootcheck (3-7, 5.47) of Salt Lake.
