Sounders FC 2 Defender Rodrigue Ele Undergoes Successful Surgery

SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC 2 today announced that defender Rodrigue Ele underwent successful surgery on his left hand. The procedure was performed by Dr. Laura Stoll at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Following the procedure, Ele has already begun rehabilitation.

Ele, 20, was signed to S2's roster on March 22, 2017 from Rainbow FC Bamenda in Cameroon. He has started at centerback in each of his seven appearances this season, recording one assist. Ele made his USL debut in a 2-1 win at LA Galaxy II on April 15, 2017.
S2 is 2-6-2 this season and returns to action next Saturday, June 2 at Fresno FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT in Fresno, with the match being streamed on ESPN+.
