ATLANTA - Atlanta United 2 returns to action on Friday, May 25 when it faces North Carolina FC at WakeMed Soccer Park. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. EST and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

In their second meeting, Atlanta United 2 again went toe-to-toe with the defending United Soccer League champions Louisville City FC, but lost 2-1 on a last-minute penalty kick Saturday, May 19 in front of 8,683 fans at Louisville Slugger field. Laurent Kissiedou scored his second goal of the season while Alessandro Castro made his professional debut, becoming the fourth current Atlanta United Academy player to debut with ATL UTD 2 this season.
North Carolina FC allowed a pair of goals in each half in a 4-1 loss at FC Cincinnati Saturday, May 19 at Nippert Stadium. Substitute Marios Lomis pulled one back late, but the loss snapped a four-match unbeaten run for North Carolina FC which moved to 2-4-2 (8 pts) on the year. North Carolina also played in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and downed Ocean City Nor'easters 4-1 on Tuesday, May 22 at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park. Austin da Luz notched a goal and assist against the Premier Development League side to help advance NCFC to the Fourth Round.
Saturday's match marks the first meeting between ATL UTD 2 and North Carolina FC.
