Sound Tigers Sign Cheverie To PTO

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have signed Forward Evan Cheverie to a professional tryout contract. Cheverie, who attended training camp with the Sound Tigers this past fall, has spent most of this season with the United Hockey League's Columbus Stars.

The Sound Tigers will host the Norfolk Admirals tonight at 7:05 p.m. and the Hershey Bears tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. This weekend will be the third-annual "Pride In America Weekend" at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard, and both games will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com.

Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
