Sound Tigers Release Leisenring, Sign Gallant

BRIDGEPORT, Conn (Feb. 10, 2011) ‚¬" The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today in a pair of separate moves that they have released Brady Leisenring from his professional tryout contract and have signed forward Brett Gallant to a professional tryout contract.

Leisenring completes his second stint this season with Sound Tigers spanning seven games. The Stowe, Vt. native recorded his first point as a Sound Tiger with an assist on Jan. 28 against Connecticut and rejoins ECHL affiliate Kalamazoo for their game tonight in Trenton.

Gallant, 22, is the third player from the Reading Royals to sign a PTO with the Sound Tigers this season. The 6'0", 185-pound forward split time between Reading and Elmira of the ECHL this season, recording three points and 132 penalty minutes in 25 games. The Summerside, P.E.I. native made his AHL debut last year, appearing in one game for the Syracuse Crunch and recording five penalty minutes.
