Senators Trade Mike Fisher to Nashville for First-(2011) and Third-(2012) Round Draft Picks

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 10, 2011) - Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray announced today the club has acquired a first-round draft pick in the 2011 entry draft and a third-round draft pick in 2012 from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Mike Fisher. The selection in 2012 can move up to a second-round pick.

Fisher, 30, who is in his 11th full season in the NHL, has played all 675 games of his career with the Senators. He has recorded 14 goals, 10 assists and 33 penalty minutes while appearing in each of Ottawa's 55 games to date this season.

A native of Peterborough, Ont., Fisher was originally selected with Ottawa's first second-round pick, 44th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
