Sound Tigers Release Justin Mercier from PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (March 15, 2014) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that they have released forward Justin Mercier from his professional tryout contract (PTO).
Mercier signed his PTO on Feb. 26 and appeared in four games as a member of the Sound Tigers. He also played in 15 games with the Iowa Wild, in which he scored five points (two goals, three assists) in 15 games. He will return to the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL), where he had 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) in 32 games.
