
Sound Tigers Release Eleven From Camp

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have released Forwards Jeff Bateman, Mike Bayrack, Paul Caponigri, Derek Edwardson, Nicolas Laplante and Martin Paquet; Defensemen Ivan Curic, Dave Reid, Charles Simard and Ben Wallace; and Goaltender Alex Westlund from training camp.
The Sound Tigers will play their final two preseason games this week hosting the Lowell Lock Monsters tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Rinks at Shelton. The Sound Tigers will open the 2004-05 regular season on Saturday, October 16th when they host the Albany River Rats at 7:05 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard.
