Barons Hockey Fest On Sunday

The Second Annual Cleveland Barons Hockey Fest will be held on Sunday, October 10th from 12-3:30pm at Barons Arena in Parma. Barons Arena is located on 5310 Hauserman Road in Parma.

The ultimate event in fan interaction is absolutely free to the general public. Several members of the 2004-05 Cleveland Barons will be on hand to sign autographs, take pictures with, and play games. Kids can play a game of NHL 2005 on Playstation or compete in a Zamboni race against their favorite Barons players. Other featured zones include: Zamboni Zone, Equipment Zone, Memorabilia Zone, and Kids Zone. The American Hockey League Calder Cup will be on display as well. Also, fans will be able to watch all the Sunday football action as several televisions will broadcast the games.

Fans wishing to meet and greet with current players are encouraged to arrive early. Due to the exhibition game against the Rochester Americans at 4pm, the members of the current Barons will be available from 12-2pm. From 2-3:30pm, several Cleveland Hockey Alumni will be on hand, including: Jock Callander, Ian Cushenan, Chris Longo, Bill Needham, and Ron Ward.

The Barons are set to open the 2004-05 home schedule on Saturday, October 16th at the National City Rink at Gund Arena at 7pm against the Manitoba Moose.
