
Sound Tigers Launch Video Portal

Bridgeport, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are proud to announce the launch of their own interactive video portal, "Sound TigersTV," the first of its kind in the American Hockey League. Following in the footsteps of their National Hockey League affiliate, the New York Islanders, the Sound Tigers will have various types of video available to their fans any time of day.
"With NeuLion's cutting edge technology, fans have the opportunity to interact with their favorite players like never before," Sound Tigers president Howard Saffan said. "Our goal as a team is to increase the one-on-one interaction with our players and fans and by instilling Sound TigersTV, we are one step closer to achieving that."
On the video portal, fans can view game highlights, interviews, the players' reel, community relations events and this season's MasterCard "Season of Dreams" videos. All of the highlights from Sound Tiger home games are available for viewing under the "Game Highlights" tab. Fans can also watch to pre and post-game interviews with the players and coaches. The players have their own section where they are "mic'd up" for practices and games to give the fans an inside view of exactly what goes on in the heat of competition. There is also a section for the numerous community relations events that the Sound Tigers go to, in an effort to give back to the local community. The last section of Sound Tigers TV is the MasterCard "Season of Dreams" tab. Throughout the season, fans have the opportunity to submit their wish to the Sound Tigers and have it granted. Thus far, several lucky fans have been selected with on receiving a private goalie lesson with Islanders' goaltender Wade Dubielewicz and another a skating lesson with Drew Fata.
Sound TigersTV is the first 24-hour channel providing original content created by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and its staff. Sound TigersTV delivers behind the scenes content that is not available on any other "typical" media outlet and gives fans a VIP insider experience right from their own computer.
