
Moose in the community this holiday season

In the spirit of the festive season, the Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, will be making numerous appearances in the community this holiday season.
On Monday, December 10th, 12 members of the Moose will be at various Walmart outlets across the city of Winnipeg signing autographs for fans from 3:00 to 4:00. The Moose welcome all fans to come down to their nearest Walmart location in order to visit with the players and maybe even purchase a 2008 Manitoba Moose calendar - the perfect stocking stuffer for any hockey fan. The following is the schedule for Moose appearances at all Walmarts:

On Tuesday, December 11th, Moose forwards Jason Jaffray, Mason Raymond, and Greg Classen, as well as Mick E. Moose will be at Misericordia Hospital bright and early at 7:30 AM to greet all morning commuters who stop by the hospital as part of the Misericordia Foundation's Angels of Hope campaign. All proceeds are going towards vital patient and resident care for the newly expanding Misericordia Health Centre.
The very next day, Wednesday, December 12th, Jaffray, Raymond, and Classen will be joined by the rest of their teammates for their seventh annual holiday visit to Children's Hospital at 1:30 PM. Last holiday season, the Moose donated over $5,000 to the Children's Hospital in the form of gifts-in-kind and donations towards future purchases for the hospital, such as a Kidzspace Play Structure for the hospital's Pre-Admit Clinic.
Then on Monday, December 17th, six members of the Moose will be at the three separate Costco outlets across Winnipeg, including the newest Costco outlet near the corner of Kenaston and McGillvray, to sign autographs for Moose fans between 3:00 and 4:00. The following Moose players will be at the following Costco locations:

This holiday season, the Moose will play eight home games at the MTS Centre as they face the Houston Aeros on Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th, before facing the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, December 14th and Saturday, December 15th. The Moose will play their final games before the holiday break against the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday, December 21st and Saturday, December 22nd. All games begin at 7:30 PM at the MTS Centre.
