Monarchs to Give Away $10,000 on Saturday

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will be giving away $10,000, courtesy of TD Banknorth, as part of their Give Back the Greenbacks promotion on Saturday December 8, when the team hosts the Chicago Wolves.

The first 3,000 fans will be handed envelopes at the doors with 2,000 containing different denominations of money and the remaining 1,000 envelopes will hold $5 gift certificates to the Monarchs Pro Shop. New this season, fans will have opportunities to win cash throughout the game, too. The cash prizes in the envelopes and game promotions will total $10,000.

There will be several different ways fans can win money throughout the game on Saturday night. Fans will be chosen at random and awarded $100 with prize alerts. All of the lucky row winners will receive cash prizes. The blimp will drop cash in envelopes during the first and second intermission and the first intermission game Dash For Cash will award the winner $1,000.

In addition to the cash awards, the Monarchs will pull the November winner of a 42-inch HDTV as part of the team's Go.Click.Win promotion.

TD Banknorth will also be distrubuting rally towels to the first 4,000 fans.

The Monarchs travel to the DCU Center on Friday, December 7 for a 7:05 p.m. contest with the Worcester Sharks.
