
Sound Tigers Announce Several Transactions

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have released Center Konrad McKay from a professional tryout contract and reassigned Defensemen Daniel Tetrault and Dustin Wood to the East Coast Hockey League's Trenton Titans. The Sound Tigers have also announced the reassignment of Right Wing Marco Charpentier from Bridgeport to Trenton by the Islanders.
The Sound Tigers will open the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs on the road versus the Manchester Monarchs with games one and two of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal this Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. Game three of the series will be played at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard Friday, April 18th at 7:35 p.m. Game four, if necessary, will be played at Harbor Yard Saturday, April 19th at 7:05 p.m. Game five, if necessary, will be played in Manchester Tuesday, April 22nd at 7:05 p.m. All Sound Tigers' games are broadcast live on "News/Talk 960" WELI-AM and at www.soundtigers.com. WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 AM also broadcasts road games.
Sound Tigers' 12-game, playoff-strip, ticket packages can be purchased by calling 203-334-GOAL. Individual tickets for game three can be purchased at the Harbor Yard box office, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 203-368-1000. Individual tickets for game four will go on sale as soon as it becomes necessary to play the game.
