
Eight Players Added To Monarchs Roster In Anticipation Of The Playoffs

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire â The Los Angeles Kings today assigned eight players to the Manchester Monarchs. The list of player eligible for the 2003 Calder Cup Playoffs includes center Sean Avery, defenseman Joe Corvo, left wing Ryan Flinn, defenseman Jason Holland, goaltender Cristobal Huet, center Steve Kelly, center Jerred Smithson and defenseman Tomas Zizka. The eight players were assigned to Manchester after the Kings wrapped up the 2002-03 season with a 2-0 win in Vancouver against the Canucks on Sunday. Only Avery has not played in both L.A. and Manchester this season. Playoff Tickets On Sale Now: Tickets for Round One of the Calder Cup Playoffs went on sale to the general public today at 10:00 a.m. Tickets to all Monarchs playoff games can be purchased at the Verizon Wireless Arena Box Office and at all Ticketmaster locations including Filene's at the Mall of New Hampshire. Tickets can also be purchased by calling (603) 868-7300, or by visiting Ticketmaster on-line at ticketmaster.com. Monarchs Ticket Prices: Gold level (100 level) pricing for Round One of the Calder Cup Playoffs is $17 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10.25 for kids 12-and-under. Silver level (200 level) pricing is $12.75 for adults, $10.75 for seniors and $10.25 for kids 12-and-under. The Playoff Picture: The Monarchs begin their best-of-five Round One playoff series against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday, April 12 at the Verizon Wireless Arena starting at 7:35 p.m. The Monarchs will also host Bridgeport on Sunday, April 13th at 4:05 p.m., before playing at Bridgeport on Friday, April 18 at 7:35 p.m., and on Saturday, April 19th at 7:05 p.m. if necessary. If a fifth game is necessary, it will be played at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Tuesday, April 22nd at 7:05 p.m.
Season Ticket Holders who have purchased Calder Cup Playoff packages should use tickets marked Conference Quarterfinals, Game C, for Saturday's game (Game 1, April 12) and Conference Quarterfinals, Game D for Sunday's game (Game 2, April 13). If necessary, Season Ticket Holders with Calder Cup Playoff packages should use tickets marked Conference Quarterfinals, Game E for game 5, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22 at 7:05 p.m.
