Bulldogs Finish Season on Top of AHL

The Hamilton Bulldogs captured their first ever Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as the American Hockey League's 2002-03 regular season points champion when they defeated the Manitoba Moose 5-3 in front of 10,142 fans at Copps Coliseum on Saturday, April 5th.

The Bulldogs finished the 2002-03 season with a record of 49 wins, 19 losses, 8 ties and 4 overtime losses. The 110 points earned by the Bulldogs is a franchise best and is the six highest points total in the AHL's 67-year history.

The Hamilton Bulldogs will begin their quest for the Calder Cup on Tuesday, April 15th and Thursday, April 17th, as they will either host Portland, Manitoba or Springfield in the AHL Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals best-of-five playoff series. Game time for each contest at Copps Coliseum is 7:00 p.m.

$15,000 RAISED FOR THE TRAVIS CARTER FUND:

Over $15,000 was raised for the "Travis Carter Fund" at the Bulldogs final regular season home game on Saturday, April 5th. Travis Carter is a young boy who suffers from "Battens Disease". Money was raised through fans making donations and purchasing tickets for the upper bowl general admission seating.

BULLDOGS PLAYOFF TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

The Hamilton Bulldogs playoff tickets went on sale Monday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. to the general public. Fans have the opportunity to purchase tickets for Bulldogs home playoff games one, two and three.

The Bulldogs first two playoff dates for the Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals have been confirmed. Game #1 will take place on Tuesday, April 15th, while Game #2 is set for Thursday, April 17th. Each playoff home game will have a 7:00 p.m. start. The Bulldogs first round opponent for the best-of-five series has yet to be determined. Details for Game #5, if necessary, will be announced at a later date.

First round box office ticket prices are as follows:
Adult: $22.00
Student/Senior $17.00
Wheelchair: $17.00
Child: $12.00

BULLDOGS PLAYOFF ACTION ON 820 CHAM!

Hamilton Bulldogs fans can listen to all the Bulldogs home and road playoff action on Hamilton's 820 CHAM-AM. Derek Wills provides all the play-by-play, while Hamilton radio personality Al Craig is the colour commentator for all home games and select road games.
