Sold Out Weekend At The Lucas County Arena

(Toledo, Ohio, November 9, 2009) - It was a sell out weekend at Lucas County Arena this past weekend. It all started on Saturday (November 7) where the Toledo Walleye sold out their third game this season in a win against the Cincinnati Cyclones. A sell out crowd of over 7,500 came to watch the Toledo Walleye get their sixth win against the Cincinnati Cyclones. This is the Toledo Walleye's 3rd sellout game since beginning their season on October 16. Combined the Lucas County Arena was visited by over 22,000 people between the Toledo Walleye game and the two Trans-Siberian Orchestra performances.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra sold out both of their Toledo, Ohio shows (November 8, 2009 3PM and 7:30 PM) in the newly built SMG managed Lucas County Arena. This is Lucas County Arena's second sold out performance, the first being Jeff Dunham on October 9, 2009. The new state-of-the-art facility allowed the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to bring their full upscale show to Toledo for the first time.

"This is really a sign that we're bringing in acts that Toledo wants. We hope to have many sold out shows with the lineup that we plan to bring to the Lucas County Arena in the future." said Steve Miller, General Manager Lucas County Arena. "It's a great thing to know that over 15,000 people came to our facility in one day" said Steve Miller.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra stopped by Toledo, Ohio as part of their 2009-2010 North American 80 city winter tour in support of their newly released album "Night Castle". Night Castle is Trans-Siberian Orchestra's fifth album and their second non-Christmas album which was released on October 27, 2009.
