Streakers: Brad Schell has opened the 2009-10 season with a nine-game assist streak. He sits at 16 points-all assists-in the first 9 games, making him the league assist leader. Tom Zanoski is on a seven-game point streak with four goals and six assists. Rookie defenseman Sam Roberts in on a four-game point streak with two goals and three assists, and Scott Mifsud is on a three-game point streak with four goals and three assists.

Pepper: The Gladiators hit season highs in shots in consecutive games over the weekend, putting 42 on net Friday against Florida and then snapping that mark with 49 shots on Saturday against Kalamazoo.

Pulling Away: Brad Schell continued to widen the gap in all time Gladiators points between him and the next closest person to 68 points with four more assists last week. Jeff Campbell, who played with the Gladiators form 2004-2008, is the next closest on the list with 254 points. Schell now has 322 career points as a Gladiator.

Man-Advantage: The Gladiators continue their success on the power play, having scored at least one power play goal in each of their first nine contests of the season. They are 17 for 59 with the man advantage, good for third in the league.

He's Back: Forward Dan Sullivan recorded three points, two assists and one goal, in his first two games at home after being re-signed by the Gladiators following his suspension and subsequent release.

Tied: Gwinnett forward Brad Schell sits tied for third in points in the league with 16, four behind league leader Ryan Kinasewich of Utah.

Helpers: Brad Schell is the only player in the league with more than 10 points but no goals.

November 6, Gwinnett 4, Florida 1 - W

Brad Schell tallied three more assists to extend his assist streak to eight games, and the Gladiators rolled division rival Florida 4-1. Tom Zanoski notched his fourth power play goal of the season and added an assist, and Sam Roberts and Dan Sullivan each scored their first of the season to guide the Gladiators to their first regulation win since the season opener on October 17. Danny Taylor made 44 saves on 45 Florida shots for his second win of the season.

November 7, Kalamazoo 5, Gwinnett 4 - L

The Kalamazoo Wings won their first game ever at the Arena at Gwinnett Center 5-4 in a back and forth game that featured four lead changes and four ties. The Wings got on the board first at 11:23 of the first period on the first penalty shot against the Gladiators of the season, and it was a fast-paced game after that. Brad Schell extended his assist streak to nine games, and Dan Sullivan notched his first two assists of the season for Gwinnett to give him three points in his first two games. The Gladiators recorded a season-high 49 shots on goal.

Saturday, November 14th vs Elmira Jackals - 7:05 p.m. - WDUN.com This week, the Gladiators take on the South Carolina Stingrays in a battle to regain some footing in the South Division on Friday night and will go toe to toe with the now second place team in the American Conference, the Elmira Jackals on Saturday. The Gladiators enter the week in second place in the South Division with 12 points, three behind both the South Carolina Stingrays and Elmira Jackals. Those two teams play each other tomorrow night in Elmira at 7:05 p.m. .

The Gladiators continue their 7th season in the ECHL on Friday, November 13th vs. South Carolina at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and Columbus Blue Jackets and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
