
Stingrays Take Five of Six Points in 3-in-3 Series

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays completed a three game in three night road series against the Wheeling Nailers and Reading Royals for a week record of 2-0-0-1. On Friday, the Stingrays scored early and held on for a 2-1 victory at Wheeling. Gregg Johnson earned his third goal in three games and Nikita Kashirsky added the game-winner. The Stingrays extended their winning streak to four on Saturday night defeating the Royals 3-1. Stingrays forwards Matt Scherer, Keith Johnson and defenseman Zach Tarkir all lit the lamp in the victory. Wrapping up their final game of the weekend series, South Carolina erased two one-goal deficits but fell to the Royals 5-4 in the shootout Saturday night at Sovereign Center. Rob Ricci, Dylan Yeo, Scherer and Kashirsky all put the Stingrays on the board. This week the Stingrays continue their road trip with stops in Elmira, Trenton and Gwinnett before returning home to host the Checkers on Saturday.

Stingrays Comeback Falls Short 5-4 in Shootout Against Royals
Reading, PA -The South Carolina Stingrays (6-2-1-2) erased two one-goal deficits but fell short 5-4 in the shootout against the Reading Royals (5-3-1-1) Sunday night in front of 3,844 at Sovereign Center. The Stingrays earned five of a possible six points completing three games in three nights.
Stingrays Defeat Reading 3-1
Reading, PA -The South Carolina Stingrays (6-2-1-1) defeated the Reading Royals (4-3-1-1) 3-1 Saturday night in front of 5,156 at Sovereign Center. The Stingrays ended a four game road power-play drought finishing 1-for-3 on the evening.
Stingrays Rivet Nailers 2-1 Friday Night
Wheeling, WV -The South Carolina Stingrays edged the Wheeling Nailers 2-1 Friday night in front of 2,727 at WesBanco Arena. Stingrays goaltender Todd Ford knocked away 27 of 28 Nailers shots earning his third straight victory.
