Beloit Sky Carp News Release

The Snappers rallied to win their third consecutive game against the Burlington Bees, 4-3 Saturday night. After two quick outs in the eighth, a Valencia single ignited the rally. Chris Parmelee tripled off the wall to score Danny Valencia and tie the game in the bottom of the eighth, 3-3. Parmelee scored later in the inning on a Joe Benson single to give the Snappers the lead. Benson went 4-for-4 on the night and Wilson Ramos continued to hit well for the Snappers, adding his seventh RBI of the season.

Brian Kirwan threw five innings and allowed two runs for the Snappers, while Danny Vais picked up his fifth win of the season in relief. Closer Rob Delaney grounded the Bees with three quick outs to pick up his Midwest League-leading 19th save.

Burlington starter Harold Mozingo took the no decision, despite striking out nine Snappers in six innings of work. The Snappers rally came against reliever Chris Hayes, who allowed three runs and was saddled with his third loss of the 2007 campaign.

Upcoming schedule: The Snappers continue their current homestand this Sunday at 2:00. Beloit will be taking on the Burlington Bees Sunday and the Cedar Rapids Kernels Monday through Thursday of next week. Beloit's Cole Devries goes against Burlington's Tyler Chambliss tomorrow afternoon. Beloit's record is now 38-22 and they remain in first place in the Midwest's League Western Division.
