
Snappers Take Game One, Stay Alive for Post Season

With a 6-5 come from behind victory over visiting Peoria tonight the Snappers take game one of the four game series and also stay alive for post season action. Beloit took a 1-0 lead after a Grant Richardson solo home run in the fourth. The Chiefs went ahead 3-1 after scoring three runs in the sixth. Beloit cut the lead to 3-2 in their half of the sixth. Peoria would add another run in the top of the seventh to extend the lead to 4-2. Once again the Snappers would cut it to one with a run in the bottom of the seventh making it a 4-3 game. The Chiefs added another insurance run in the top of the eight taking a 5-3 advantage into the bottom of inning. The Snappers would lead off the with Grant Richardson making it to second on an error by Peoria's third baseman. After an Adam Heether strike out, Terry Trofholz would reach on catcher's interference and Guilder Rodriguez would be hit by a pitch to load the bases. Hernan Iribarren would single in two runs to tie the game at 5-5. Drew Anderson knock the winning run in on a fielder's choice as Beloit would go on to win 6-5.
Peoria and Beloit will play Saturday night at 7:00 pm at Pohlman Field.
