
Snappers Lose Second Straight

The Snappers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of fifth when Drew Thompson singled home Tarrence Patterson. Beloit starting pitcher Kyle Waldrop was perfect through five and a third innings before Kane County scored two runs in the top of the sixth, taking a 2-1 lead. In the bottom of the sixth Erik Lis singled to lead off the inning. A balk moved Lis to second. Eli Tintor singled to center field, driving in Lis to tie the game 2-2. Allan de San Miguel singled right field moving Tintor over to third. Toby Gardenhire laid down a two-strike bunt single, scoring Tintor to give Beloit a 3-2 lead. The Snappers bullpen allowed two runs in the eighth, giving Kane County a 4-3 win.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Cougars play game two of this three game series Tuesday, June 27 at Pohlman Field. First pitch is set for 7:00 pm.
