Snappers Late Comeback Falls Short, Lose to Chiefs 11-10

BELOIT, WI -- The Beloit Snappers were down 10-3 in the sixth inning of Tuesday's contest, but they pieced together a late rally to bring it close. However, the Snappers would leave the winning run on first base and lose 11-10 to the Peoria Chiefs.

Beloit scored first with a three-run first inning, including Will Banfield's fourth home run of the year.

The Chiefs turned it on in the middle innings. Peoria scored 10 runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth to take a 10-3 lead in the top of the sixth.

Beloit rattled off three in the sixth and four more over the final three frames, but left the winning run, Griffin Conine, on first base.

Beloit's Top Performers: Conine went 2-for-5 to continue his hot streak. Banfield had a 2-for-6 night with a home run and triple. Zach Owings had four hits, including two doubles. Ynmanol Marinez went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
