Snappers Keeping Rolling Over LumberKings

The Beloit Snappers continued their winning ways against the Clinton Lumberkings Wednesday night at Alliant Energy Field with a 5-2 victory as Edgar Ibarra picked up a win in his first start of the season.

The Snappers are now 5-0 vs. the Lumberkings this season and had held the Lumberking offense scoreless for 34 plus straight innings before Kalian Sams scored on a James Jones grounder.

Peter Kennelly had one of his best relief appearances of the season as he worked two innings and struck out five batters.

The "Brodie Trophy Player of the Game" is Anderson Hidalgo who went 3-for-4 with a run scored and RBI. Hidalgo is now batting .315 on the season.
