Beloit Sky Carp News Release
Cedar Rapids starter Manaurys Correa shut-down the Snappers offense in a winning effort, 8-2 Wednesday night at Pohlman Field.
Jeffrey Lanning and newcomer Buddy Munroe both had a pair of hits and each scored a run, with Lanning having the only Snappers extra base-hit in Wednesday night's game.
The Kernels put up a four-run third inning to go-ahead of the Snappers. The Snappers would cut into the lead in the bottom half when Lanning scored on a throwing error by Kernels' catcher Roberto Lopez.
Later in the game the Kernels would eventually run away with the game by scoring a pair of runs in the seventh and ninth inning.
Thursday night lefty Daniel Osterbrock will take the mound for the Snappers with game time scheduled for 7:00pm.
