South Bend Silver Hawks News Release

South Bend, IN - In conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the South Bend Silver Hawks have announced that RHP Victor Capellan has returned to the South Bend active roster from a stint with high-A Visalia.

Capellan originally joined the Silver Hawks in late May, pitching in two games for South Bend. In 4.0 innings with the Silver Hawks, Capellan allowed one run on two hits with two strikeouts.

His time in South Bend was short, as he was returned to extended spring training in early June when Ryan Cook and Bryan Woodall both came off of the disabled list. Capellan was then sent to Visalia to fill a bullpen role, going 0-0 with a 9.53 ERA in five appearances at the high-A level.

The South Bend roster currently stands at 25 active players plus one on the disabled list. The Midwest League limit is 25 active players.
