
Snappers Drop 17 Hits In 9-1 Win Over River Bandits

DAVENPORT, IA - The Beloit Snappers (42-47) collected 17 hits in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits, including a multi-home run game from Marcos Rivera.
The Snappers got on the scoreboard with two runs in the second inning and never looked back. They added two more in the fourth inning on a two-run home run from Rivera.
River homered again in the sixth inning for his second of the game. Snappers' center fielder Connor Scott joined the party with his sixth home run of the season two batters later, and the Snappers were up 7-0.
Quad Cities scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, but Beloit put them away with two runs in the eighth inning to secure a 9-1 win.
Beloit's Top Performers: Scott went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run. Kameron Misner extended his hit and RBI streaks to 16 and 9 games, respectively. Troy Johnston and Ricky Aracena each had three hits.
