Kennewick, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs kept it a close contest against the Tri-City Americans Friday night before giving up four goals in the third period to ultimately fall 7-4 on the road.

Jalen Luypen opened the scoring just under seven minutes into play with help from Jordan Gavin and Alex Serraglio.

Carter Streek answered at 11:27 as he scored his 17th goal of the season with. help from Brayden Crampton and Chase Harrington. The assist marked Harrington's first Western Hockey League career point.

The third period was all Tri-City, as Luypen and Belton went on to complete a hat trick each to eventually bring the Americans to seven total goals, including two short-handed efforts.

It wasn't until 19:51 that Catton capitalized on a power play opportunity and connected with the net for his 23rd of the year to cap the scoring at 7-4.
