
Blades Finish 2022-23 Season with Third-Best Winning Percentage in Franchise History

AMONG THE GREATS: The Saskatoon Blades are the fifth team in 59 years of the franchise to finish with 100+ points after a 6-3 win vs the Moose Jaw Warriors Saturday.
The Blue and Gold capped off their final game of the regular season on the road at the Moose Jaw Events Centre, finishing with 101 points and a 48-15-4-1 record.
Goalie Ethan Chadwick guarded the crease in the Blades final game of the year stopping 22 of 25 shots. The 6-foot netminder improves his record to 23-9-1-1.
WELCOME TO THE DUB: Blades 2021 ninth-round pick, Morgan Tastad, made his WHL debut vs the Warriors. The 6-foot-4 blueliner finished with two shots on goal and a +1 rating. The 17-year-old Loreburn, SK. product more than held his own during his first taste of WHL hockey.
HOMETOWN... HEARTBREAKER: Blades forward Rowan Calvert netted his fourth goal of the season against his hometown team. The 17-year-old Moose Jaw, SK. native finishes the season with 14 points in 57 games played and answered back after his brother Atley scored for the opposing side.
LET LISO COOK: Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick Brandon Lisowsky opened the scoring with his fifth goal in his last three games. The third-year sniper finishes the campaign with an impressive 38 goals and 70 points in 65 games. Lisowsky is one of Saskatoon's most lethal scorers and is heating up at the perfect time with playoffs right around the corner.
NEXT GAME: A provincial rivalry is renewed for the first time in the postseason since 2006. The Saskatoon Blades will square up against WHL Phenom Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats in round one of the 2023 WHL Playoffs.
Saskatoon gets home ice advantage coming in as the third seed in the Eastern Conference, kicking the series off at SaskTel Centre Friday, Mar. 31st at 7:00pm.
