COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - The College Park Skyhawks (9-8) defeated the Westchester Knicks (6-9), 121-107, at the Gateway Center Arena on Wednesday in the conclusion of a two-game series with the Knicks.

Armoni Brooks led the Skyhawks with 28 points (11-16 FG, 5-8 3FG) and seven rebounds off the bench. Joining Brooks in the 20-point club were Brandon Williams (24 points, 10 assists, five rebounds) and Langston Galloway (21 points on 7-13 FG and 4-10 3FG). Williams collected his sixth point/assist double-double, and his third game with 20+ points and 10+ assists on the year.

Tyrese Martin, on assignment from the Atlanta Hawks, set a new career high with six assists in the game. Hawks two-way player Donovan Williams also tallied 10 rebounds, a new career high for the rookie.

The Skyhawks finished with .550 FG%/.433 3FG% shooting splits, shooting better than .550 FG%/.430 3FG% for the fifth time this season and for the second consecutive game. The Skyhawks made 13 of their 30 three-point attempts, marking a season-long five consecutive games with at least 12 made triples.

The Skyhawks were propelled early by Brandon Williams, who scored 10 points and dished out three assists in the opening period. College Park nailed five three-pointers in the first quarter for the fourth time this season.

Before halftime, Galloway (13 points), Martin (10 points), and Brooks (12 points) all got going in the second quarter, helping the Skyhawks finish with a 76-53 lead going into the break. The Skyhawks are now 9-0 on the year when scoring 70-or-more points in the first half. Martin also picked up five assists and four rebounds in the first half, matching his career high for assists in a game in 17 first-half minutes.

The Knicks pushed for the lead in the third quarter, forcing seven turnovers on the way to a 31-19 quarter.

The Skyhawks narrowly edged the Knicks, 26-23, in the fourth quarter behind 11 points from Brooks, who was instrumental in keeping the Knicks at bay and getting the win for the Skyhawks.

"I'm happy for the team because we talked about putting these two games together and getting two wins to get over .500 on the year," said Skyhawks Head Coach Steve Gansey. "Now we have to keep that momentum going."

Former Skyhawk DaQuan Jeffries, now a two-way player for the Knicks, had his second consecutive 20-point/10-rebound game, finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds. James Akinjo chipped in with 17 points and eight assists off the bench.

The Skyhawks will host the Long Island Nets next for "Celebrating Black History" Night on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
