Sky Sox Announce Largest Fireworks Shows Ever
August 7, 2018 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox have announced makeup fireworks dates in lieu of the weather-postponed July 4 Independence Day Fireworks show. During the final homestand of the regular season, the already scheduled shows on Friday, August 31 presented by Thrivent Financial (Friday Night Fireworks) and Sky Fest: Jurassic Park Night on Saturday, September 1 presented by Connect for Health Colorado have been extended, making it the largest back-to-back nights of fireworks in the organization's 31-year history.
All fans who attended the July 4 game were issued a "rain check" and have two options to take advantage of during the final weekend. All July 4 "rain check" tickets can be redeemed for a FREE ticket to the August 31 game or can be redeemed for a half price ticket to the September 1 Sky Fest game.
The end-of-season blowout on August 31 will be twice the size of a regular Friday Night Fireworks show while September 1 Sky Fest will feature a nearly 20-minute long fireworks extravaganza.
The Friday night schedule also includes a limited-edition Snoopy Bobblehead Giveaway (Copyright 2018 Peanuts World Wide LLC) and Faith Night at the ballpark.
The next homestand begins Thursday, August 9 as the Sky Sox take on the Nashville Sounds, Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, for four-games. The homestand opener features the second-to-last $3 Thirsty Thursday of the 2018 season, presented by Coors, which includes $3 parking, $3 Upper Reserve tickets and $3 Colorado Native Golden Amber.
