Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers close out their West Coast road trip and four-game series against the Reno Aces at 9:05 p.m. at Greater Nevada Field. Through six games of their road trip, the Dodgers are 3-3 and trail the Aces, 2-1, in their current series. Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu will join the team on rehab assignment and make the start tonight.
Last Game: Reno overcame a three-run deficit in the seventh inning and then stranded the tying run at third base to end the game and hold on for a 6-5 win over the Dodgers Monday night at Greater Nevada Field. The Dodgers led, 3-0, heading to the bottom of the seventh as starting pitcher Brock Stewart retired 19 of the 21 batters he faced through 6.2 innings. But in the seventh, Kevin Cron and Rey Fuentes hit back-to-back home runs to cut OKC's lead to one. Anthony Recker later hit a go-ahead two-run homer to put the Aces on top, 4-3. The Dodgers tied the game in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Angelo Mora. The Aces responded in the bottom of the inning with a two-run single by Fuentes for a 6-4 lead. A RBI single by Alex Verdugo brought the Dodgers within a run in the ninth. Later with runners at the corners and one out, Kyle Garlick sent a chopper to third base. Kevin Cron fielded the ball and threw to second base for one out, and Chris Owings' throw to first base beat Garlick to complete a game-ending double play. OKC took a quick 3-0 lead in the game in the first inning when Donovan Solano plated the first two runs on a double, and two batters later, Kyle Farmer doubled to score Solano. The win went to Reno reliever Braden Shipley (6-4), and Silvino Bracho found a way to escape the ninth inning to earn his sixth save. Manny Bañuelos (8-6) took the loss for OKC.
