Sioux City Explorers News Release
Winnipeg-----The Winnipeg Goldeyes defeated the Explorers here Wednesday 7-2 as they swept the three game series from the X's.
In the win, Winnipeg hit four solo home runs, the most home runs given up by the Explorers in one game this season. Chris Roberson hit two of the solo home runs and drove in four runs for the Goldeyes.
The Explorers two runs came on a RBI double by Ryan Priddy in the fifth inning after Mike Bisenius had led off the inning with a single. Bisenius led off the seventh inning with a single and later in the inning Priddy drove him home, but it wasn't enough for the Explorers who were swept in the three game series by Winnipeg for the second straight year.
After an off day Thursday, the Explorers will return home Friday for a weekend series with El Paso at Lewis and Clark Park. Game time Friday will be 7:05.
