Lemurs Score Early often in 10-5 Victory

Amarillo, TX - The Laredo Lemurs (17-20) scored at least one run in five of the first six innings as they went on to defeat the Amarillo Sox (20-18) 10-5 on Tuesday night at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium.

The newest Laredo Lemur, J.B. Brown put a spark into the team as he belted a two run homerun in his first at bat with the team to give the Lemurs a 4-2 lead in the second. John Allen also joined in on the fun for the Lemurs with his fourth home run of the, year going 2-for-4, with three runs, and an RBI.

The Lemurs put up four runs on six hits in the sixth to help secure the much needed win over the Amarillo Sox. The Lemurs are now 3-7 against the Sox this season, 1-5 in Amarillo.

Bradley Blanks picked up the win as threw two perfect frames coming in relief of starting pitcher Mark Haynes who pitched four complete, giving up four runs, on nine hits, with six strikeouts.

The Lemurs relief core threw five innings giving up only one run, one two hits.
