
Pedroza, Gaston lead RedHawks in 13-6 victory over Lincoln

Fargo, ND - Jon Gaston and Sergio Pedroza had three hits apiece as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks extended their win streak to five in a 13-6 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs on June 27, 2012 at Newman Outdoor Field in front of 3,578 spectators.
For the second consecutive game, Fargo-Moorhead gained an early lead against Lincoln. Lincoln manager Chris Miyake would be ejected by first base umpire Justin Anderson in the second before the RedHawks jumped out to a 5-0 lead after a Sergio Pedroza three-run home run.
Lincoln responded with a two-run home run off the bat of Tommy Collaro in the fifth to cut the deficit to 5-2.
The RedHawks answered in the bottom half with four runs on six hits highlighted by a Nic Jackson triple which gave the RedHawks a 9-2 lead.
RedHawks starter Tyler Herron gave up two more runs to the Saltdogs in the sixth before the RedHawks bullpen tandem of Kyle Dahman and Daniel Morari finished out the final three innings in the victory.
Fargo-Moorhead (19-19) had eight players with hits in the game. Pedroza led the way going 3-for-4, scored 3 runs and picked up 3 RBIs on his fourth home run of the season. Gaston went 3-for-5 with a double, a run, and two RBIs. Marcos Rodriguez and Ryan Delgado had two hits each.
Tyler Herron improved his record to 2-3 on the season after he pitched six innings giving up four earned runs on eight hits, a walk, and five strikeouts. Dahman pitched two scoreless seventh and eighth innings for Fargo-Moorhead and Morari finished out the ninth.
Lincoln's (15-22) Mike Provencher and Jimmy Rohan both went 3-for-5 while Collaro had 3 of the Saltdogs 6 RBIs in the game. Saltdogs starter Justin Edwards (2-4) picked up the loss giving up nine runs (eight earned) on 11 hits, one walk, and one strikeout in five innings.
Fargo-Moorhead and Lincoln conclude a three-game series tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. at Newman Outdoor Field. With a win, the RedHawks would sweep the Saltdogs for the second time this season. Probable starter for Lincoln is Tommy Palica while Fargo-Moorhead counters with Alex Caldera.
